Your forest looks very like my forest - the fields of fern turning golden and brown, lots of mushrooms and tall dark conifers interspersed with golden and orange leafy trees. ♥️🌲😍🍂 It's always a balm to be out there. Thank you for this spread, I will play with it! The loss of daylight is definitely affecting me and I sleep so much more. But yeah, it's not always possible to the eztend that our bodies might crave it.

What a lovely poetic reply. Where do you live? This is Thetford which is a managed forest, mainly rows of pine but still lovely.

I'm in Germany, in the northern bit of the Black Forest. There's some areas here that are left to nature and are very wild, and there's areas that are managed and much lighter - but still lots of beauty and adventure to discover there. 😁🌲

Oh what a fun name for a forest. I have to ask, do you know why it's called the Black Forest? I love to think about the lands that are still untouched by humans 😊

Hey. It's a whole mountain range that's called Black Forest. Not alpine mountains, but still. They run parallel to the Rhine river and the Vosges, the mountains on the other side of the Rhine, in France. It was called 'silva nigra' (black forest) by the Romans and the name stuck around. It used to be quite inaccessible, steep, narrow valleys, dense forest. Hence the name. 😁 It was used as an east-west border defense by any number of powers over the centuries.

Thank you for the info! Sounds very interesting, I’m sure it’s beautiful. I don’t think I’ve heard about it before. I hope I’ll go see the mountains someday ⛰️💚

Loved settling into this writing as much as I loved reading what everyone else’s forests looked and felt like. There’s something so lovely about that. We don’t have forests in the grand sense in my area (Central US), but small woodlands, sometimes with little streams, and they do just fine for quiet escapes. 💚

In a way the forest here us probably more like woodland than real forest. Much smaller scale. Glad you enjoyed reading it.

The forest is really enchanting during these months, today I found myself lost in a deep beautiful pine forest. The benefits of being in nature can easily be underestimated. Being from Sweden, I'm very familiar with the impact of the sun and its absence. Despite knowing we're all influenced by the darkness in some way, doesn't make it any easier. I hope you'll find the time to rest and the energy to go through these dark but gorgeous days. Thank you for the spread! 💚

I love the idea behind this spread! I'm in Hawaii, so I have jungle rather than forest, but it is similar! The days are shorter; thus, there is more darkness, even though some days can be very sunny. I appreciate the invitation to "play" with this spread.
