Tarot mantras for the suit of wands and swords
My arcane memos are back. A while ago I started a series called arcane memos for wise women, where I give each card in the deck a mantra or affirmation. Today I'm back with the wands and swords suit.
Hello. This is me trying to look natural and pensive but maybe not quite pulling it off. Showed my mum this photo and she suggested I try and smile. The audacity. Ha ha. You get the idea.
If you prefer to listen, here's me reading the post for you.
Hello there again
A few months ago I started a series of arcane memos for wise women and a few of you let me know how much you enjoyed them. I knew I wanted to write the full series, so here I am again with more “mantras”
How to use these mantras
I wrote the arcane memos for you to keep in your notebook near your cards.
You can use the mantras as journal prompts.
Or
When you draw a tarot card you’ll always have the mantra at hand to spark your reflections.
Or maybe
Consciously choose a mantra you are drawn to. Write it on a post it note and keep it where you work.
Or finally
Simply read them through and let them wash over you.
I am in the middle of creating a tarot mantras printable notebook for members which I have also done with all my tarot card keywords here. (You have this already if you’re a Moon Shed Member)
Here are your “Arcane Memos”
The suit of swords
I've written these because I’m a chronic over thinker (thank you virgo moon) and I need kind and wise reminders every day
Ace of swords - I embrace moments of clarity
Two of swords -I make space for clarity
Three of swords - Don’t fight it, feel it
Four of swords - I listen to my need to rest
Five of swords - I give my mind permission to be messy (Hello ADHD)
Six of swords - I seek out harmonious solutions
Seven of swords - I share my thoughts and words when the time feels right
Eight of swords - The natural state of the mind is one of freedom
Nine of swords - I am waking up and getting clearer
Ten of swords - It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day. Thanks Nina Simone.
Arcane memos for wise women
I've written these because creativity has become my life blood through my 40s and now into my 50s. I need these memos to take the creative me seriously.
The suit of wands
Ace of wands - I receive inspiration
Two of wands - My creativity deserves time and space
Three of wands - I feel the fear and do the creative thing anyway
Four of wands - I celebrate myself. I let others celebrate me.
Five of wands - A dysregulated system is not a failure, it’s a natural part of living in a busy world. (Bit wordy but love this one)
Six of wands - I rise
Seven of wands - I tend to my own flame
Eight of wands - I enjoy creative energy and allow it to flow
Nine of wands - Resilience is knowing when to pause
Ten of wands - I am not responsible for it all
There you go, 20 arcane memos for 20 cards. Tell me which mantra you need or like the most today in the comments and do keep an eye out for the court cards series.
