Cross-post from The Moon Shed
I had the pleasure of writing a guest post for Claire and her lovely community at The Mood Shed. I would be so grateful if you would read and share it, because it offers a different perspective on the cards for Oracle and Tarot lovers! Also, a huge thank you for being here and supporting throughout my campaign. With just seven days to go, activity may increase, and I appreciate your patience and kindness while I shout from the rooftops over the coming days. You're welcome to shout from the rooftops, too! -

I mean how beautiful does this look! You can support Sarah’s kickstarter today. A beautiful deck helps your business muse come to life.

Happy Wednesday

In the spirit of supporting a fellow mum and creative, I have something a little different for you this week. I love to see a mum with young children who is able to follow her creative vision. It’s inspiring to me.

So, today

Sarah Robertson
introduces us to her beautiful new deck and has some thoughtful prompts for you as a taster of what's to come as well as her intuitions about tarot cards and the seasons.

Sarah is in the midst of launching her first product, the Brand Seasons® Playdeck—a beautiful tool that brings her seasonal branding approach to life.

Sarah has printed this deck on an antique press who goes by the name of Maude and the cards are made from recycled coffee cups. I just love the playfulness and romance of this of that.

Anyway…

Do enjoy the prompts and practices and tell us which tarot cards fit the seasons for you! Maybe I should do a post on that. YES!!!

The deck is perfect for

  • Artists

  • Creatives

  • Writers

  • Heart lead business coaches

  • Anyone seeking to align themselves and their brand

  • Anyone who needs a moment to connect with their creative muse in working life. Think mornings, candles, coffee and cards.

  • Anyone who finds it hard to make tarot spreads and needs ready made prompts

So, let's dig in

Here is the very gorgeous Sarah our card designer with some helpful prompts and practices from her deck for creative business owners below.

Who is this deck for?

We understand the power of tarot to offer insight and guidance, and I drew inspiration from this when creating the card deck.

I wanted to craft a tool for personal growth, and create an intuitive way to go deeper and wider with brand development.

Beyond business, the prompts and practices can be used for personal reflection, unlocking new perspectives around how we show up in the world, in both our personal and professional lives.

How does the deck work? The four seasons

The deck is divided into four distinct seasons, each offering a specific focus:

By embracing the seasons, you allow your brand to grow naturally, always staying true to your core while adapting to the world around you.

The Season of Sowing: Setting your Intentions

Much like pulling the Ace of Pentacles, this season invites you to set your intentions and lay the groundwork for your vision.

It’s about defining your strategy and understanding your ‘why.’ Whether you’re a writer, a creative, or a business owner, this phase helps you prepare for the journey ahead.

Prompt:

What intentions are you setting for your business or project? How do they reflect your deeper purpose and long-term vision?

Practice:

Write a brand or personal mission statement. Reflect on your core values and vision, and how they influence your decisions. Think of this statement as the foundation upon which your future will grow.

The Season of Blossoming: Crafting your Aesthetic

Think of the Empress or the Queen of Wands.

In this season, your ideas take shape, and your brand aesthetic begins to reveal itself.

This is the time to focus on how your brand personality is expressed visually and emotionally, creating a coherent, impactful, and memorable presence.

Prompt:

How can you express your brand personality through visuals and storytelling? What elements bring your brand to life in a way that resonates with your audience?

Practice:

Select three colours, images or textures that encapsulate your brand essence. Consider how these elements could guide changes to your visual identity across the various platforms you use.

The Season of Harvesting: Shaping your Story

In tarot, this phase is akin to the Ten of Cups—a time of reflection and sharing.

It's an opportunity to explore the stories you're telling and assess how they align with the overall look and feel of your brand. Use this moment to gather meaningful insights that will deepen your connection with your audience.

Prompt:

What parts of your brand’s story have created the most impact? How can you refine these stories to engage and inspire others?

Practice:

Write a brand story outline focusing on key milestones and lessons learned. Highlight moments where you made a difference, and consider how you can share these stories in different ways.

The Season of Grounding: Anchoring in Integrity

Much like The Hierophant or The Emperor, this season is about making sure your brand remains rooted in its values. It’s where strategy, style, and story converge to create an authentic and trustworthy foundation.

In this phase, you can slow down, check in and make sure the building blocks of your brand remain strong.

Prompt:

Where can you strengthen the connection between your brand’s actions and values? How can you ensure that your actions and beliefs are in harmony?

Practice:

Identify three ways you can build trust with your audience or community. This could involve delivering on promises, creating regular content, or being transparent in your communication.

As tarot readers know, the cards are about guiding us toward deeper understanding. In the same way, the Brand Seasons® Playdeck encourages you to view your brand as a shifting and shaping entity.

I hope you enjoyed this introduction to the Brand Seasons® Playdeck.
